The minimum permitted age to rent a vehicle from Auto Rent Corfu is 19 years, subject to the applicable Young Driver Surcharge (YDS) and restrictions outlined below.
The maximum permitted age is 78 years, subject to the Senior Driver Surcharge (SDS) and approval conditions.<\/p>

For all other licenses, a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) must be presented alongside the original license
All drivers must present a valid passport or national ID at pick-up
The minimum age remains 19 years, and the maximum age 78 years, subject to applicable surcharges and restrictions<\/p>

4. Credit Card & Deposit Policy<\/h2>

No credit card or deposit is required only when selecting SMART or PREMIUM All-inclusive Insurance, provided the driver meets the applicable age and eligibility requirements.
For all other insurance packages, a deposit or credit card pre-authorization may be required as specified on the insurance page.<\/p>

5. Rental Period<\/h2>

The minimum rental period is 24 hours. If the drop-off is delayed by one hour or more beyond the agreed-upon time, charges for a full day may apply.<\/p>

6. Pick-up and\/or Drop-off<\/h2>

Our pick-up and drop-off locations is our office close to Corfu Airport (Leoforos Eptanisou 8, Corfu 49100, Greece), or meet and greet in Corfu Town area, and the Port. There is no charge for deliveries and collections within the town. For out-of-town deliveries, the cost is 31\u20ac, including VAT, plus 0.75\u20ac per km. 8. Transportation via Ferry<\/h2>

Written authorization from the renter is mandatory at the car pick-up. The associated cost is 105\u20ac, inclusive of taxes and surcharges.<\/p>

Without the company\u2019s written authorization, the vehicle is not covered for any damages or losses while on a ship.<\/strong><\/p>

9. Car Types<\/h2>

We retain the right to substitute vehicles in instances where the reserved car types are unavailable. While we may not always guarantee the specific brand, we assure you of a similar car or an upgrade as an alternative.<\/p>

10. Fuel Tank<\/h2>

The renter is required to return the car with the same quantity of fuel it had at the time of collection. If the car is returned with less fuel than originally provided, the customer will be charged for the fuel difference. No customer refund will be issued if the car is returned with more fuel than initially collected. Vehicles are delivered with a minimum fuel quantity, equivalent to \u00bc of the reservoir.<\/p>

11. Taxes, VAT & Airport Fees<\/h2>

Local value-added tax (VAT) is set at 24%, and this is already included in the rental prices.<\/p>

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)<\/strong>\u00a0is already included in the total prices, providing coverage for the driver(s)\u2019 civil liability for personal and material damage to third parties resulting from the use of the vehicle, with a specified excess amount. Auto Rent Corfu will place a temporary hold referring on the insurance page on the driver\u2019s credit card.\u00a0<\/strong>The amount varies based on the driver\u2019s age and the Vehicle Group, serving as a pre-authorization to cover the excess and any potential damage. Alternatively, there is an option to provide a cash deposit at the office. In the event that the Lessee returns the vehicle in the same condition as it was collected, the blocked amount will be promptly refunded. 15B.Smart Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)<\/h3>

The\u00a0Smart Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW)<\/strong>\u00a0effectively lowers the self-risk\/deductible amount for damages covered by our insurance plans refer to the\u00a0insurance page<\/a>. This coverage extends to both Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Third-Party (TP) insurance and is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the Rental Agreement. It\u2019s important to note that damages not covered by the specified insurance packages, as detailed in the Rental Agreement and terms and conditions, remain excluded.<\/p>

It is a prerequisite for release from liability that damages must be demonstrated not to result from a violation of the Highway Code.<\/p>

16. Theft Protection (TP)<\/h2>

Theft Protection (TP) safeguards against the theft of rental vehicles and is exclusively included in the Smart & Smart Premium Insurance Packages.<\/p>

17A. Damages that are Not Covered by Any Insurance Package<\/h2>

Any damages resulting from negligence or driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
Damages to the car top.
Damages caused by off-road driving, driving close to rivers, sandy beaches, or areas of water.
Engine damages caused by driving without due care and attention.
Damages to the interior of the car.<\/p>

17B. Extra Charges<\/h2>

A charge will apply for services in the case of breakdown assistance, which are the renters\u2019 responsibility.
A charge will apply for the use of the wrong fuel.
A charge will apply if GPS is lost or damaged.
It is the responsibility of each renter to cover the cost of any parking fines and speed-limit violations.
A charge will apply for towing the car when your vehicle requires extraction from mud, sand, or water.<\/p>

18. Service Fee\/<\/strong>Administration Fees
<\/strong><\/h2>

There are no charges for damages to the car that are not caused by the renters. However, administrative fees of 50\u20ac will be applied for traffic fines or charges resulting from the use of the car by the renter, which the renter does not pay for. Autorent Corfu will charge renters for any traffic fines, in addition to the administrative fees.<\/strong><\/p>

In cases where the vehicle is exceptionally dirty upon return, an additional charge of 60\u20ac for deep cleaning will be applicable. This charge is reserved for instances of unusually dirty cars, particularly in the interior.<\/p>

Please note that a strict no-smoking policy is enforced for all vehicles.<\/p>

Beyond traffic fines, the renter is responsible for a non-refundable fee of 100\u20ac (plus VAT) and surcharges in case of the loss of number plates or removal of number plates by Greek authorities due to traffic violations.<\/p>

The vehicle should only be used by the renter or other additional drivers mentioned in the rental agreement.<\/p>

19. Roadside Assistance<\/h2>

Our roadside assistance service is available 24\/7 and provided free of charge. It is advisable to contact us directly if you require roadside assistance. In the event that the driver takes the vehicle off the official road network, resulting in immobilization, the driver will be responsible for covering the cost of towing the vehicle.<\/p>

20. After-Hours Service<\/h2>

For after-hours pick-ups and\/or drop-offs of a vehicle, an additional charge of 30\u20ac to 40\u20ac, including VAT, applies. This fee must be settled at the rental counter. The after-hours service charge is applicable during the following hours:<\/p>
